Bell Shakespeare - The Comedy of Errors

Refigured in the seedy environs of Sydney's Kings Cross, The Comedy of Errors is being presented by Bell Shakespeare in five states and territories between August and December. It is hilarious mine-field of mistaken identity, slapstick and verbal humour.

Review: Cavalia

There are just three reasons to buy a ticket to the Canadian juggernaut known as Cavalia.

Equine stars and human acrobats, aerialists, riders, musicians combine to bring the show that has been touring the world since 2007 under The spectacular Big White Top.

You don't need to love horses to enjoy this show, but you will love them by the end.

Guitar Perspectives

There is more to the guitar than meets the eye.

Guitar enthusiasts can get their fill at a series of four concerts from August to November showcasing the diversity of this most popular and universal instrument.

Performances by four leading performers in their genre will be held at Melba Hall with the University of Melbourne's Conservatorium of Music, and at Wyselaskie Hall on College Parade, and include Jazz, Brazilian, Vihuela and Classical offerings.

Botanica

Who knows how many centuries people have been using flora for decorative purposes. From dried arrangements, to sketches, daisy chains, or a flower behind your true-love's ear, flowers have probably always provided creative inspiration.

Botanica is the flavour of the month this September at Red Rock Arts in Cororooke, offering a chance ot give birth to new ideas by participation in workshops with an expert in the field, or submitting work to a curated exhibition.

'You've Got Buckley's": The Legend of William Buckley Under Scrutiny

He is Australia's most famous convict - so famous we have a colloquial phrase that can be heard from coast to coast.

"You've Got Buckley's!"

You've heard it said, but do you know its original meaning?

Most people know William Buckley escaped from Victoria's first penal settlement in Sorrento in 1803, and lived for 32 years with the Wathaurong people. But then what? What do you know about William Buckley's life after his surrender to John Batman at Indented Heads.

Cavalia Comes to Town

Horse lovers across Victoria will be all gee-ed up to learn Cavalia has come to Melbourne.

Described as "magical" and something like an equestrian ballet, this Canadian show has been touring the world since 2003, and plays under the Big White Top from July 24th.

Cavalia was hailed by Larry King (CNN) as the best show he had ever seen. High praise indeed.

The BIG Workplace Sing 2013

Who knew lunchtime at your workplace could be so much fun!

Across Victoria on July 25th its going to feel alot like the weekend if you're lucky enough to have a boss who understands the multiple benefits of singing. 

Forget bootcamp, this is a gentler more cohesive alternative which avoids confrontation and competition for a more collaborative result.

Community Music Victoria invites workplaces to join this initiative, and sign up for 'Sing Out the Winter Blues in your Workplace' on Thursday 25th July. After 19 years its their way of ensuring the world feels a little warmer and kinder.
